go-live problem

Hi

I recently put our site live, and have had a problem with saving new articles from the frontend since then. It takes 20 seconds to get thru the tweet writing before it will start saving the article.

Joomla 2.5.3, Nice Tweets 2.25

Everything was working fine before I put it live.

On go-live I switched from our test twitter account to our live account. I went through the whole oAuth process again, creating a new app and copying the details in. I created a new profile and set everything to go to this.

However, although tweets ARE being sent to Twitter, the callback is not working and tweets are not showing in the Nice Tweets listing in the component. On investigation i saw that the return URL in Settings was still http://devel.dailytradingreport.com/adm ... k=twitback (dev site) not http://dailytradingreport.com/administr ... k=twitback (live site), so I changed it. Still no improvement. I checked the settings in dev.twitter.com and the return URL was already correct there-> http://dailytradingreport.com/administr ... k=twitback

So... I have a 20 second wait before saving an article edited on the frontend, and tweets are being published but not saving in the component.

Can you advise on what I should do to remedy this please?

Hi Dex,

This is a puzzler. Sounds like there might be a MySQL database error.

Have you check the MySQL database associated with your live site? The Nice Tweets extension uses the following database tables (make sure to pre-pend your table prefix on the front of the table names, e.g. jos ).

_nicetweets_settings
_nicetweets_profiles
_nicetweets_log
