Button with enter quantity field does not work

I apologize if this has been answered--I tried to search the forum, but all of my terms were rejected as "too common."

I am trying to create a button that allows the user to indicate the quantity. The button and fields are displayed, but when I click the button, the page refreshes instead of going to PayPal. The same thing happens even when I use the sample code.

I am using 2.84 on Joomla 1.6, and the two other basic pay buttons (no quantity selection) on the page work fine.

Hi,

First, go to the article manager and open the article with the button tag in it. Click the article editor to HTML view. Do you see HTML formatting in the button tag? Or does it look the same as it does when the editor is text view mode?

If you see HTML in the tag you need to delete the HTML. Then the tag will work properly. Sometimes when you copy and paste button tags hidden HTML, used for text formatting, can get accidentally copied as well. The best defense against this is to manually type all tags. Or copy and paste the button tag to a simple text editor first (e.g. MS Notepad). The simple text editor will delete any hidden HTML automatically. Then copy and paste the tag from the text editor to Joomla.

Also, is there a URL where I can take a look at this anomaly?
