Pre-Sale Question: ANY AMOUNT?

My site visitors need to be able to make a payment of any amount they decide (toward a medical bill). I see that a custom button can be created, but since authorize.net seems to require a dollar amount in setup, is this possible with your button? In other words, I'd like this to happen:

Visitor provides their name, account number and amount they want to pay, then clicks "MAKE PAYMENT" button.

Thanks for the great question.

The Nice Authorize.net Button plugin uses Authorize.net's Simple Checkout System. So, all price values must be predefined. Buyers are not allowed to alter the price amount. The extension is more suitable for tangible goods.

Hi Diane,

Unfortunately, this is a restriction of Authorize.net's Simple Checkout system. All of the product information is stored on their website. Unless they make a change to how their system works, there is no work around for this matter.
