What are the methods of interaction between Nice Memberships & JomSocial or JomSocial Profile Types, if any?

I'm trying to plan out how I'll block out my plans.

Hi.

I'm not entirely sure. As of our last test of JomSocial (2.4 RC1) they had not entirely worked Joomla's ACL (user access) into their system, which caused certain issues with limiting Registered user's access to the JomSocial system.

Since the Nice Membership relies on Joomla's ACL to restrict user access by user group, the JomSocial issue introduced a site access break down. This break down provided user's with a possible opportunity to side step the subscription process and still have access to JomSocial (since JomSocial by default is accessible to registered users). So, some configuration changes may be required to more securely lock-down access to JomSocial. Otherwise, Nice Memberships works hand in hand with JomSocial and no other special consideration will need to be applied.

Thanks. I was wondering about something like that.

This is a curious finding. I'm guessing at the very least, a small template hack could do the trick, so that upgrades and such would not affect the continuance.

I'll let you know what I come up with, in case it might be of use to others.
